S24O

S24O stands for Sub 24-hour Overnight, and is a term coined by Grant Peterson to describe quick, overnight camping trips that last for no more than 24 hours. The idea behind S24Os is that planning and preparation for long camping trips can be so daunting (time consuming, expensive, etc) that they often keep people from going camping at all. S24Os are quick, easy and still provide the excitement and fresh air of longer trips. Andrea and I brought a tent, sleeping bags and sleeping pads with us from the States hoping that 24Os (as well as longer camping trips) would provide an inexpensive way to explore England.
